Thanks, Boss.  A piping hot mug of Colombian lava salute to the mini-GDT.  And get well soon, RedM.

Yikes.  The Kings and Dustin Brown tonight and a whole squad full of dummies in the Duhucks tomorrow afternoon (8pm ET).  Gonna be brutal.  Wings are now sitting in the LAST flippin’ wild card spot after the Rangers dispatched the sTards.

Just get the two points, Wings.  Even if we get it in the tardacious shootout gimmick.  Just get two points.

To help us get started on tonight’s game, uber-Youtube uber-Wings fan, awood, has posted a This Day in Red Wings History: January 11th video.  This is a fun series he started just recently and I’ve become hooked.

Sure would be nice to see Jimmy Howard make a statement - and I mean a good one of course - in the game tonight.  Maybe facing an Olympic team mate will motivate him.

Thanks for keeping this place going, Paul.

Wings visiting LA reminds of my favorite game I didn’t see live: Howard’s 51-save game, Helm scoring the helmiest goal ever with 17 seconds left to win the game 2-1.

Howie vs Quick Olympic Team USA show me what ya got.
Howard should be zoned in for this one looking to impress fathead brian burke and Preds Gm Poile.
All-time record against LA a surprise….guess they won a lot of games with Luc and with Marcel Dionne against us. Dionne still regrets leaving the Wings but greed took top priority.
shock
Looking forward to seeing Sheahan play. I like his power forward NHL potential and he should be a physical presence tonight running into that Clifford “KFC” clown.

Which Team shows up tonite? Or, should I say, does anyone show up tonite? This crap is getting old, and I am running outta patience. It’s gotta start somewhere.

Let’s get a convincing win, and take two points. Just rip the two points right out of the Kings.

Thanks Paul.

Bitches.

Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!

Maybe I will wake up halfway through the game, and catch the finish. I can thank insomnia for that much, I suppose. Glad to see this is the last trip to the Left Coast this year.

Just WIN, guys. We don’t ask for much. Just win every game, ever:-)

Let’s Go…

Score some goals,

Play some D,

Make some saves.

I’m not greedy, I’ll settle for two out of three. That should be good for at least a point.

This has been one f’ed up season.

Man, look at that last replay. Helm was just the fourth or fifth closest guy to the puck when it’s dumped, then He fires up out of nowhere and retrieves the puck from Quick, then fight it in the boards and wills the puck into the net god knows how.

It’s the quintessential Helm goal, a baby born out of his breakaway against Anaheim + the puck-keeping of “the kill” + the clutchness of the WCF winner. The only things missing were a hit on Jovanovski and an injured shoulder on the play.

Shame the game starts 1:30a.m, I’ll try to be up but no guarantees.
