Losing Is Winning

03/23/2019 at 9:25pm EDT

Since the Wings are playing in Vegas tonight, I'd like to have a little fun here and show a few similarities between hockey and craps.

Both games are played on a similar shaped table or rink. Both have a surface, ice/felt, with lines and circles, dots, and I swear a trapezoid too. Both games have shooters and a Pass line and, the Don't Pass line. Craps is played in rounds, hockey is in periods. Also, there is a stickman, and, four people that watch the table, hockey has four officials that ref the game.

One more thing, 19 of us are hoping the Wings Crap out tonight because at this point in the season, losing is winning. Right?

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
