Abel to Yzerman

Kenny? We’re Still Here

It's December something. Somewhere in the middle.  Christmas is around the corner. Then New Years.  St. Patrick's Day will arrive, followed by a festive Arbor Day in either April or May.

So many holidays and so many days where the Wing team built by Kenny Tick Tock Holland straddles the line of mediocrity that has seduced him for so many years.

Tonight, it's Boston. The hottest team in the East (outside of the team Steve Yzerman manages because Ken Holland refused to accept an ascension) visits and Jeff Blashill got very deep.

"We have to play great hockey to give ourselves the best chance to win so we have to focus on ourselves and make sure we're playing great hockey."

The future of the Detroit Red Wings lies with that.  Genius. Jesus.

It's time to clean house.

LGRW and FKHASAP.

Bring Yzerman home.

I’d rather FJBRFN, but whatever floats your pickle.

Really looking forward to that Arbor Day.

I read this earlier today and thought,
‘Hmmm, must be a line from PR 101 for NHL GMs.’

“We’re a young energetic group that’s playing hard every night. We’re going through some growing pains, like every team, and we hit the wall in the homestand, but I like the way they’re handling it. I know we lost in Tampa (5-2 to the Lightning on Thursday), but we played pretty hard. We played better in Tampa than in our homestand, and these last two games have been pretty good. So, we’re reacting well, working hard, sticking together. I like what’s going on with the group.”

sheesh sounds somewhat familiar ... Kenny?
(it was actually Sakic)

what ever happened to results? to winning? getting The Cup? ... //sigh//

Two points in regulation tonight. Please? Also we probably will have to listen to Eddie Olsuck say “subtle interference” whenever a Red Wing players gets close to a Bruin. mad

My predictions for tonight:

Nyquist will shot high and wide while all alone in front.
Tatar will shoot wide multiple times when in alone.
Kronwall will be unable to keep a puck in on the PP.
Green will make a pass to no one.
Helm will get a breakaway and fake both the goalie and himself out and not score.
Someone on the Bruins will score their 1st goal of the year.

Other than that, I got nothing…. confused

Wings look eager to provide an assist to the Bruins soon. Turnover machine is well oiled early.

I have to admit that I am looking forward to seeing Babcock being behind the bench in Detroyet again.  Too bad it’s for the other team.

At least we will see a pretty full and noisy Little Caesars Arena Friday night, half of them will be blue and white obnoxious Maple Leaf fans, they have always traveled well even when they sucked and deserve anything good they get, I suppose.

Doesn’t seem like much of a difference, does it? Ever since that lot started calling games, they’ve been firmly anti-Wings.

I can see us parting with a goalie (Mrazek?) and Green. I can also see us parting with Helm, but not for free. He has *some* trade value.
