I NOW Consider Brian Lashoff An Elite Player Via Corsi and Pharmacy Statistics

12/03/2016 at 6:00pm EST

Jared Comeau makes his NHL debut tonight. That's something I predicted earlier this year, but that it would come as a result of James Tiberius Howard's ascension to the number 1 spot and a Mrazek trade out of Detroit.

Now Jimmy's dong is hurting and those plans will have to wait.

Traditionally, any young goalie making his debut against the Wings will stop 48 shots and beat Detroit 2-1.

Now it's the reverse and I don't have the stats handy, as usual.

Comeau makes his debut against the Penguins. That sounds special. One part of the above equation will hold true: he'll face 50, if he's in that long.

This kid is going to be peppered tonight, unless Brian Lashoff saves us.

It's a Live Blog and I assume you've been preparing for many hours.

I have a feeling that is going to be necessary.

LGRW, bitches.

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
