Holy Hell The Hills Are Filled With Fire

Okie was on the money yesterday when he got the Aerosmith/Stress Train reference three minutes after the Live Blog posted. He was right again this morning when he pointed out that three games in four days means all the glad could very well be turned to sadness so very soon.
We are in for so much trouble today. The Defending Stanley Cup Champions are in town and the horror is too thick to type about. The Wings are tired, so very tired. Gary's made them play so much hockey in such a short period of time and now we get The Champs. JFC. RSV.
Winning this game is just too much to ask. RWBill wants to know how much PK/PP energy our two leaders expended yesterday?
7:33 of special minutes for Datsyuk, 7:29 for Zetterman. Tired, tired, tired.
The Champions haven't played since Thursday. It's too much to ask. Too tall an order. Our boys are exhausted, tuckered out, the strain is too much and the train is full of drunkards, worried and unclean. The imperfect storm has finally arrived. God help us all.
Wings win 3-1. Wally, White and...Stirs Shit With Massive Wooden Spoon.

The 38 shots is already the most allowed by the Wings in a game. Previous was 36 to STL in opener. It’s the most shots by Kings this year.

Wings need a shot of 5 hour energy. Or crystal meth.

Three years ago when my son was on a traveling bantam team, the coach had a rabid “NO SODA! NO ENERGY DRINK! NO CAFFEINE!” policy on the kids during game trips. In the state championship tourney, they came out kinda flat for the first game, so me and one of the other dads went down the street and bought a whole box of 5 hour energy drinks. About 30 mins before the next game, another dad took the coach out into the hallway to give him a pep talk while me and the first dad distributed the contra-band.
HOLY hell ... a swarm of Helms destroyed the favorite of the tourney like 10 or 11 to 1. Wound up losing the next game on a bs overtime streak of penalties but that was pretty awesome to see

Karma says DET score in the 1st 5 minutes.
Kings will be lining up on the Ambassador Bridge

That didn’t look like Hart Plaza. It’s nice to see people enjoying Downtown Detroit. I’ve been skating there before and was looking for the Dodge Fountain that resembles a doughnut or flying saucer. And, of course, the Big Fist at Jefferson and Woodward.
Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!

I remember Jimmah having a game like this a few years ago in LA. It was a crossroads game for him if my failing memory is correct.
I believe Helm scored the game-winner that night.

Am I a dick for already hoping we get at least one point out of this?

Olczek just can’t help but point out the wings “gettign away” with whatever. Never hear a peep from him about LA getting away with anything.

Was telling my daughter about the NBC bias crap during the last intermission and she was giving me that “yeahhhh….where’s your tinfoil hat” look
Ever since then she’s just been getting furious listening to these cocksuckers
Posted by 42jeff from Minot, North Dakota on 02/10/13 at 03:36 PM ET
Eddie Assholio with the obligatory reference to how Detroit has ALWAYS gotten away with interference.
Somebody needs to duct tape that pissing bladder of a mouth he has.
Posted by WestWing from Portland, Oregon on 02/10/13 at 03:36 PM ET
I wonder if the team can file a complaint with the network to at least get it on record? That’s just some utter bullshit
Posted by 42jeff from Minot, North Dakota on 02/10/13 at 03:37 PM ET

Can we please play in the Kings zone for, say, at least thirty seconds? Is that asking too much?
Posted by CaptainDennisPolonich from Warm and sunny SoCal on 02/10/13 at 03:38 PM ET
Nice tic tac toe to clear the zone. I miss that.

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. Keep this quote for wednesday against the Bloes Bill. We might just need it. Setting up for a good one for sure. We keep this up and the next time we play Sheecago it will be bloody for sure.
