Okie was on the money yesterday when he got the Aerosmith/Stress Train reference three minutes after the Live Blog posted. He was right again this morning when he pointed out that three games in four days means all the glad could very well be turned to sadness so very soon.
We are in for so much trouble today. The Defending Stanley Cup Champions are in town and the horror is too thick to type about. The Wings are tired, so very tired. Gary's made them play so much hockey in such a short period of time and now we get The Champs. JFC. RSV.
Winning this game is just too much to ask. RWBill wants to know how much PK/PP energy our two leaders expended yesterday?
7:33 of special minutes for Datsyuk, 7:29 for Zetterman. Tired, tired, tired.
The Champions haven't played since Thursday. It's too much to ask. Too tall an order. Our boys are exhausted, tuckered out, the strain is too much and the train is full of drunkards, worried and unclean. The imperfect storm has finally arrived. God help us all.
Wings win 3-1. Wally, White and...Stirs Shit With Massive Wooden Spoon.

Is this another case of the team on the second game having some jump in the first period while the other team knocks off some rust, and the tired team can’t maintain the intensity in the second and third periods?

Jimmah made the first save. Somebody should have had that rebound.

Train kept a rollin was a blues song from the 40s or 50s. I forget who did it originally. Almost all the best rock songs were originally blues songs.

Holy crap. NBC is actually going to feature Hank during the intermission. I thought they were contractually obligated to do a feature on Rosby no matter who is playing.

Cleary is clearly past his sell by date and needs to bumped up to the front office.

Don’t worry, they’re going to ask Hank how he likes playing against Rosby.

Thanks for looking that up Gramps. I was too lazy. Good to read you again. Hope you hang around for the rest of the game

I love Hank. Hank will be a great Captain. But if I was the Brain Trust, I still would have picked Pasha, to give him another reason not to leave for the KHL after this contract is up.

After a rock and roll version of the song was recorded and released by Johnny Burnette and the Rock and Roll Trio in 1956, numerous other versions have been recorded. The Trio’s version, considered a rockabilly classic, is an upbeat, high energy version of the original, with lead guitarist Paul Burlison playing what many historians[2] consider to be the first introduction of the contemporary rock and roll feedback/distortion guitar sound, not to be confounded exactly with a saturated amplifier sound.

Do you think if I had that etched on my tombstone it would confuse people?

Why wrap your arm around his face?
My wife is a maple leafs fan, so when she was watchign the game last night I heard about it, but didn’t actually see it. I see now why he was bit. No, I don’t think biting belongs in hockey, but neither does putting your arm across his mouth and nose.

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
