Coach Mike Babcock wasn't prepared to reveal his plans for the fourth line. In Game 7 vs. Anaheim, Samuelsson, Todd Bertuzzi and Patrick Eaves took shifts there with Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg, who double-shifted.
“I've decided, but I'm not going to tell you until tomorrow, because I'll wait and see what happens,'' Babcock said. "We got some guys bumped, so we'll make that decision at our skate tomorrow.'' . . .
Here are the lines they used:
Johan Franzen-Pavel Datsyuk-Justin Abdelkader
Valtteri Filppula-Henrik Zetterberg-Daniel Cleary
Gustav Nyquist-Joakim Andersson-Damien Brunner
Todd Bertuzzi--Cory Emmerton/Mikael Samuelsson-Patrick Eaves
Jordin Tootoo worked in on the fourth line. Drew Miller, who's hoping to return in the series, and Darren Helm, who has been ruled out of the series, also skated and will travel to Chicago.
The defense remains the same:
Niklas Kronwall-Jonathan Ericsson
Kyle Quincey-Brendan Smith
Carlo Colaiacovo-Jakub Kindl
Ian White (scratched)
Jimmy Howard
