I do admit that I was a little nervous, but only a little...
Gary Greenstin, Datsyuk's agent, said the star center will fly to Detroit in a few days and should arrive for the start of training camp, likely on Sunday.
“He'll be on time,'' Greenstin told MLive.com on Tuesday. “Pavel is ready to play. In a few days, he'll be in Detroit. I talked to Ken (Red Wings general manager Holland) yesterday, everything is under control. Pavel is an honest player, honest person. He has an obligation to Detroit.
That's Khan(!) and that's good news, indeed.

Very good news. I had a feeling he would honor his obligation to the Wings. Now our new Captain needs to get to work on him so he re-signs after this year. I would not be a bit surprised if his inclination might be to return to Russia.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
