The Wings have won two in a row. Today's Detroit News sports section featured this headline: "Red Wings feeling bullish about playoff chances."

A couple observations about that.

I immediately assumed the bearded, redolent, loquacious GregG Krupa must have written the article to follow...because few of us say "bullish."

I was wrong. The article is Teddy Kulfan's.

Secondly, it's a lie. I'm not positive what "bullish" means, because the term itself makes me want to vomit. It's so...redolent. But, if it means "confident" then that's just a filthy lie. The Wings don't feel bullish/confident about their chances. They feel bullishly confident that they'll get something like the 8 pick, which would have been good for a 17 last year, which we traded to Phoenix so that we wouldn't have to pay our star player who left because Ken Holland sucks.

But...we've won two in a row and that's good shit. That's streaking, sister. That is a streak by any man's definition, despite giving up approximately 211 shots the last two games. We're "bullish", eh?
