from Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press,
The frustration was there in Dylan Larkin’s voice, there in his face.
His Detroit Red Wings — and they are his, because at 22 years old, he has established himself as the driving force of the rebuilding process — had just lost their 23rd game of the season, had just lost another game even though they played well, and did more things right than wrong. They’ve done that every game since New Year’s Eve, but have one victory over their past 10 games, and three victories their past 15 games.
“It’s getting frustrating, it has been frustrating,” Larkin said after the Wings fell 4-2 Friday at MTS Place to the Winnipeg Jets. “I thought for parts we outplayed them, the majority of the game we outplayed them, but how can we keep coming in here and saying that?
“Something has to click here. Something has to change where we buy in. Something has to click where we buy into total team defense.”
