All Is Well…Gary Says The Playoffs Start Tonite

In a stunning decision from the NHL front office in Pittsburgh, midget commissioner Gary.Ass Bettman announced just moments ago that Sidney Crosby has been named Cosmopolitan Magazine's Man of the Decade and that the NHL playoffs will start this evening. First round matchups will be announced thirty minutes before game times.  If any visiting team can't make it to their scheduled game, that round will be postponed until the new glossy Crosby posters have been completely reviewed in Bettman's private office, with soft lighting.

None of that is true, except the part about Bettman being a midget, the Cosmo award for Rosby, the poster thing and the soft lighting.  So, the playoffs aren't really starting tonite.

But if they were?

The Wings would be playing Vancouver.  Is that some sort of crazy-ass coincidence or what?

Nuts.

Two of them. If Luongo has those, he's in tonite because of the violation Detroit levied upon him the last time out.

Whatever. The Wings, because they did last night, can score on the power play, win on the road and profess allegiance to their coach.

It's a late one and I'm guessing, maybe, two of you are sober. Have at it, by god.  It's a Live Blog, bitches.

And don’t forget Datsyuk’s backcheck to get Kronner off the hook, his hit behind the goal, and 62% face offs,

Wow looks like I missed a hell of a game…another PP Goal AND TWO from Abdelkader.  So Mikey was right then, #8 is a top line center…

oh no wait.

Stunning, because the Nucks bitch slapped the Wings 6 seconds into the game.

42 Jeff. Sorry to hear about your airman last night. SIDS is a terrible thing to happen to parents who will feel that trauma for a long time. You are are great character boss to support your guy like that. They are going to miss you loads when you leave.

Have a great rest of the weekend 19. See ya Wednesday.

Optional skate for me in the morning. Need it after a poor game last Thursday.

Sorry I missed out on the LB last night.  Looks like you all had a lot of fun.  Just watched highlights. Great win.  Pasha still Magical.  Jimmah still a stud. Good to see Z get a couple.  And Buckets.  And Abby.

Most of all, so sweet to see the Wings light up LUUUUUUU again.  HAHAHAHA!

See you Wednesday night for the Ingalls sisters (that still cracks me up, Master Chief).

LET’S GO RED WINGS !!!!!

P.S.  Just read about Quincey and the broken cheekbone.  Don’t know how I missed that.  That really sucks for him.  Hope it isn’t too serious, his surgery is successful, and he heals quickly.

Is there some reason Babbles prefers Ian White over Huskins?  I thought Huskins was OK when he played…

With Whitey, at least there is a hint of a goal, and he can play on the PP.

Thanks, Okie, I suppose that’s true.  But I wonder if Huskins isn’t a more solid presence on D.  Hard for me to say as I’m listening to most games this season on radio and don’t get to watch that much.

After reviewing the highlights and results of the last two games, I agree we should look into trading Pavel Datsyuk.  What a *#$%@& past-his-prime liability that guy is.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I’m being a smartass and putting words into peoples mouths, but seriously, get rid of him.  Good riddance.

Ok, seriously for real this time, I can see the argument about getting something for him while the getting is good and that kind of thinking absolutely disgusts me.  Pavel Datsyuk should go down as a legend in Detroit, not a castoff in some soulless three dimes for a quarter trade.

Also, Ken Holland will never do this.  He will believe right up until the second any given player walks out the door (see:  Sergei Fedorov) that the player loves it in Detroit and a deal is imminent.
